IMPLOSION, ESSENCE OF A MEMORY

For this occassion I worked together with The Visual Brothers to create this installation, mixing architecture, geometrical forms, light and painting. 

This installation represents a break into subjective memories, which may or may be, some of the characteristics that determine the nature of an "entity", on constantly nutrition. As inspiration I used symbols, forms and artworks of the old (Dutch) masters. "The Starry Night" (1889) of Van Gogh, Rembrandt's "Jewish bride (approx. 1665-1669) and "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp" (1632) and "The peddler" of Hieronymus Bosch (approx. 1500) who are part of the collective memory, and I reinterpret through a kaleidoscopic vision in fragments, to reflect the essence of this "entity "multiple variables such as the receiver and generator.

En esta ocasión he trabajado junto a The Visual Brothers para crear esta instalación, que combina arquitectura, formas geométricas, luz y pintura.

Esta instalación representa una ruptura en recuerdos subjetivos, que pueden o pueden ser, algunas de las características que determinan la naturaleza de una "entidad", en constante nutrición. Como inspiración utilicé símbolos, formas y obras de arte de los viejos maestros (holandeses). "La noche estrellada" (1889) de Van Gogh, de Rembrandt "novia judía (aprox. 1665-1669) y" La lección de anatomía del Dr. Nicolaes Tulp "(1632) y" El vendedor "de Hieronymus Bosch (aprox. 1500) que forman parte de la memoria colectiva, y reinterpreto a través de una visión caleidoscópica en fragmentos, para reflejar la esencia de esta "entidad" en múltiples variables tales como el receptor y generador.

Symbol of a meditative state and imaginary generated by the different stages and transitions.

Norns 

Norns, iconified as three Plague doctors representing the large suffered tragedies of Amsterdam: The fire, waterflood and plague. And despite this the destiny continues.

Nornas, iconificados como tres doctores de la Peste Negra que representan las grandes tragedias sufridas por la ciudad de Amsterdam: El fuego, la inundación y la peste. Y a pesar de esto, el destino sigue.

Nocturne

Inspired by "The Starry Night" by Van Gogh and what this work represents. Night metaphoric image like delirium and inspiration.

The anonymous traveler 

Inspired by "The Peddler" by Hieronymus Bosch, In this case I reinterpreted here as a anonymous traveler as a symbol of a person who travels somewhere, leaving part of his essence in the place that he visits, and for a period of time draws part of that place, for it there are parts of the painting appearing only outlined as a symbol of constant change.

Inspirado por "El vendedor ambulante" de Hieronymus Bosch, En este caso reinterpretado aquí como un viajero anónimo como símbolo de una persona que viaja de un lugr a otro, dejando parte de su esencia en el lugar que visita, y por un período de tiempo dibuja una parte de ese lugar, por ello hay partes de la pintura, que sólo aparecen trazadas como un símbolo de cambio constante.

Delicate Passion 

Piece inspired by the artwork of Rembrandt, "The Jewish Bride". I only focuse on the position of the hands as a symbol of love, passion, understanding and protection of an anonymous form that determines the significance of a relationship.

Pieza inspirada en la obra de Rembrandt, "La novia judía". En este caso solo me centro en la posición de las manos como un símbolo de amor,  pasión, comprensión y la protección de forma anónima que determina la importancia de una relación.

Color Vision

Inspired by the drawing of the "Eye" of MC Escher, where in the pupil can appreciate the Death.  I collect and decontextualize the image illustrating a flower in the pupil as a symbol of flowering at the experience.

Inspirado en el dibujo del "Ojo" de MC Escher, donde en pupila se puede apreciar la Muerte. En este caso descontextualizo la imagen y en su vez ilustro una flor en la pupila como un símbolo de la floración en la experiencia al final de nuestro recorrido.

Knowledge / Nutrition 

Inspired by a possible personal idea about the painting "The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp" by Rembrandt. To Skount this artwork shows that all of what was by then the movement in the world of knowledge, learning and wisdom. So in this reinterpretation the caretakers are illustrated faceless and instead shows what provides the study. Only the corpse appears with face and eviscerated heart as a symbol of loss and death over.

Inspirado por una posible idea personal sobre la pintura "La lección de anatomía del Dr. Nicolaes Tulp" de Rembrandt. Para mi esta obra de arte muestra que todo lo que era por entonces el movimiento en el mundo del conocimiento, el aprendizaje y la sabiduría. Así que en esta reinterpretación de los cuidadores los ilustro sin rostro y en su lugar muestro lo que para mi ofrece el estudio. Sólo aparece el cadáver con  cara y con el corazón eviscerado como símbolo de la pérdida y  muerte .
